Reflections

Next week I have to register my son for high school.  He's a sophomore this year, and taking Driver's Ed....Yikes!  Wait, didn't I just get my license a few years ago?  Yeah, try 27 years ago. I actually had to write it on scratch paper to figure out how long I've been driving - WOW!

Having another son in elementary school makes me feel younger than I really am.  Of course he only has this year and next year before he's off to Middle school.

Summer Fun!

Unfortunately, we don't even have plans for this summer.  Trying to stick close to home, gas prices here in Othello are among the highest in the area.  
We do have family coming in July so that will be fun!  
Thought about going to Maui for my cousin's wedding last weekend but tickets were $700.00 + in February!  I checked again the day before the wedding, thinking that the airlines would try to sell the last seats for cheap.  Yeah right, round trip tickets were $947.00!  Isn't that crazy?  I guess, we'll just wait. . . 

Wedding Season

Wedding Season has hit our family early this year. Juan's niece is getting married in 17 days, then another relative in April, my cousin in June and more throughout the summer! The good thing is that I've been losing weight. The bad thing is that the dress I order for the wedding this month is too big! I'm glad that it's too big but now I have to get it altered.
I guess having to buy new clothes is great, as long as the sizes I buy are getting smaller not larger. I'm still losing weight, so I'm trying to hold off buying clothes as long as I can. It's hard because I feel like I'm wearing the same clothes to work every week. Oh well, hopefully I'll get to my goal weight soon. Since last June I've lost a total of 31 pounds! It's been difficult, but sooooo worth it!
I recently became an Advocare distributor. I've tried their products before and fell in love with the Spark energy drink. I just finished doing an herbal cleanse and I feel great! I joined Advocare because I saw the benefits of the products in my sister-in-law. I had pretty much given up hope of losing weight and I was tired all the time and couldn't get myself off the couch. I figured after 40, I'm not going to be able to lose any weight-just gain it.
Well, my sister-in-law is only 6 months than younger than me and she started losing weight. Now if she can do it, why can't I? She inspired me to get off the couch and do something! I lost most of the weight on a different program, which I'll probably never do again (I don't think it was very healthy). And now, I'm taking the Advocare products. These products are filled with essential vitamins and nutrients that my body needs, especially at my age. I have the energy to keep up with my boys and I feel like great!
