Favor

I started today at 6:30am, with a quick walk around the park. I talked to God as I walked and ask to find some money somewhere in the park so I could get things for dinner. There had been several events in the park over the weekend so I was sure to find something.

I didn't find any money.

Soon after that, Juan was on his way to the office and then off to Ritzville. He had $12 in his pocket. One of Juan's co-wokers also had to go because they both had to learn about the budget for their department. On his way there, he thought that he should be a nice boss and buy the other person's lunch - with $12?? After a while he thought, "I'll tell them I'm on a diet and I won't order anything, then I'll have enough to pay their lunch." By the time they we ready to eat lunch it was about 2:00. Juan was famished! He had to order something, the other person was just going to have to pay for themself! As Juan stood up from the table, there was a 10 dollar bill next to his foot. He looked around to see if anyone had dropped it, but no one else was around. He needed $21 to cover the entire lunch. The $12 in his pocket plus the $10 he found - PAID IN FULL with change for the candy machine!

At around the same time, I was at home doing the laundry. As I took a handful of clothes out of the dryer, a 10 dollar bill fell on the floor - great! I put those clothes on the bed and went to get more. The next handful - a 5 dollar bill fell out of the dryer! Then as I was folding the clothes I found a 1 dollar bill - 16 dollars total!!
I went to the store and got fixings for dinner for the next 3 days!!

That is the Favor of God! Even in the little things.

School already??

Thank goodness for school! My boys have had enough of each other! But with school comes work. Not just my regular job, but also the boys homework. Jonathan is starting 8th grade and Jason 2nd grade. I've been having Jason practice his handwriting lately. You know they don't teach that in school any more. Jonathan doesn't even know how to write in cursive. I don't blame the teachers. I work with them enough to know that they have their hands full and are told what they can and cannot teach.

Summer came and went. We were hardly home. On the 1st of July we were on Maui, on the 14th back in Washington, and we spent the 31st in Fresno, California. The whole month was a blurr!
And now, back to school!!
