We carved our pumpkins yesterday! We'll let me rephrase that, I carved the pumpkins, the boys cleaned out the "guts." I think they look great (especially mine)! In a house of boys, I had to put some pink ribbon on mine. I'm actually surprised that they aren't embarrassed to have my pumpkin sitting next to their pumpkins.

Happy Fall!!!!

Whatever

Here in Othello the weather was cold and rainy last week. Then yesterday and today it's been in the 80's! We are supposed to have nice, sunny, 80 degree weather all this week too. I was looking forward to the cooler fall weather. I even went out and bought some logs to burn in the fireplace.
Growing up in Hawai'i I didn't really get to see the different seasons like I see here in Washington. I remember wearing sweatshirts to high school because it was cold - yeah, it was like 73 degrees! My oldest son goes to school in shorts and a polo shirt (no jacket) and it's only 47 degrees when we leave the house! He hasn't worn a jacket to school yet. Of course they don't have recess outside either.
Anyways, I'm so looking forward to the leaves changing colors, picking pumpkins, and sitting by the fireplace.
This year I think I'm going to decorate for Christmas early. Jason wants me to do it on December 1st. I told him that I might just start on Nov. 1st. You know once halloween is over, all the stores put up their Christmas stuff. So, I think I'll do the same!

Favor

I started today at 6:30am, with a quick walk around the park. I talked to God as I walked and ask to find some money somewhere in the park so I could get things for dinner. There had been several events in the park over the weekend so I was sure to find something.

I didn't find any money.

Soon after that, Juan was on his way to the office and then off to Ritzville. He had $12 in his pocket. One of Juan's co-wokers also had to go because they both had to learn about the budget for their department. On his way there, he thought that he should be a nice boss and buy the other person's lunch - with $12?? After a while he thought, "I'll tell them I'm on a diet and I won't order anything, then I'll have enough to pay their lunch." By the time they we ready to eat lunch it was about 2:00. Juan was famished! He had to order something, the other person was just going to have to pay for themself! As Juan stood up from the table, there was a 10 dollar bill next to his foot. He looked around to see if anyone had dropped it, but no one else was around. He needed $21 to cover the entire lunch. The $12 in his pocket plus the $10 he found - PAID IN FULL with change for the candy machine!

At around the same time, I was at home doing the laundry. As I took a handful of clothes out of the dryer, a 10 dollar bill fell on the floor - great! I put those clothes on the bed and went to get more. The next handful - a 5 dollar bill fell out of the dryer! Then as I was folding the clothes I found a 1 dollar bill - 16 dollars total!!
I went to the store and got fixings for dinner for the next 3 days!!

That is the Favor of God! Even in the little things.

School already??

Thank goodness for school! My boys have had enough of each other! But with school comes work. Not just my regular job, but also the boys homework. Jonathan is starting 8th grade and Jason 2nd grade. I've been having Jason practice his handwriting lately. You know they don't teach that in school any more. Jonathan doesn't even know how to write in cursive. I don't blame the teachers. I work with them enough to know that they have their hands full and are told what they can and cannot teach.

Summer came and went. We were hardly home. On the 1st of July we were on Maui, on the 14th back in Washington, and we spent the 31st in Fresno, California. The whole month was a blurr!
And now, back to school!!

Summer trip to Maui

Well, its only been half a year since my last post! Just returned from a trip to Maui. The boys and I had a great time with our family. Too much laughing and eating. That usually what we do when we all get together. Thankfully I didn't gain any weight. Must be all the shopping mom and I did. I came home with more shoes and purses than I know what to do with. I've already changed my purse twice since I got home 4 days ago!

We went to Maui for my cousin Erin's wedding. It was a quick 12 minute wedding, which we were all thankful for since we were sitting in the hot sun. Of course it was a little windy which helped.

Two days after the wedding we got together to celebrate mom and Kaeo's birthday. Once again, lots of laughing and eating. We played some Hawaiian Style - Minute to Win It games. After packing up the party, we headed down to Kihei to this place called, 'Da Rush.' My uncle rented the place for us to enjoy. It's a surfing place. Had a great time! To bad we all live so far away from each other. I miss everyone.

It's a New Year!!!!

So, it's been a while since my last blog. So much has happened! Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's celebrations have all come and gone too fast! Here in Washington it almost feels like Spring. In our little town we really haven't had any snow. It snowed once during Christmas vacation and we haven't seen any more since then.
My family came to Washington for Christmas this year. We had lots of fun and ate too much. My pants are still a little tight. It's okay though, I just enjoy being with my family.
Going back to work was extremely difficult for me, just as going back to school was difficult for my boys. I'm almost glad for it though because I don't eat as much when I'm at work.

Well, Happy New Year! I pray God's Blessing and Prosperity on you!
